When Conviction Comes [Nehemiah 9:1-38]
After listening to the Word of God, the people were aware of their sin and repented of it. When conviction comes, we must approach God in a humble manner with a restorative desire.
Nehemiah’s Example
We need to confess our sins individually and corporately. (9:1-5)
Positive spiritual development involves the cycle of reading the Word, confessing sin, and worshiping God.
Despite God’s grace and goodness to His people, they rejected His authority over them. (9:16-17)
Although we deserve God’s wrath, He deals gently and patiently with us, revealing His grace. (9:17-20)
