Nehemiah’s Example

Nehemiah delegated ongoing responsibilities to trusted, God-fearing leaders

Although the wall was completed, there was still a need to guard the city and the temple

God directs Nehemiah to assemble and count the people

The people gave their resources, abilities, and time to the work

The Israelites settled into their homes and awaited the reestablishment of the covenant 

Our Response 

God cares for every individual in His family and values them as children 

We should know and care for each other

See where you can serve the people of God and give of your time, money, and talent

Strengthen the people of God today so that you are ready to act when God directs
